One day in early 2013, I saw an advertisement for a class at College of Southern Maryland called, “How to be a Virtual Assistant”. I thought it sounded interesting, so I attended. After the class I wanted to learn more, so I attended a workshop at the International Virtual Assistance Association’s (IVAA) annual conference in Philadelphia. Everything went fast forward after that. Now three and a half years later, I am a small business owner of Here to Help Virtual Assistance, LLC. I couldn’t be happier! With the help of my awesome clients, mentors, and advisors, I have grown as an administrative professional and small business owner.
Currently, I am supporting some of the best of the best in the Personal Branding industry, Career Coaching and Business Coaching. I absolutely love my work, but there’s more.
I also have a strong feeling that I could help other administrative professionals. I am a volunteer coordinator for the Southern Maryland Local Area Network under the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). We’ve held two events and have more scheduled well into 2017. These events are opportunities to meet and network while hearing educational information. Coordinating these events has given me a focus toward helping other admins. As I move my business forward, I will remain dedicated to my clients, and grow in the areas that can have a positive impact on other administrative professionals.
So, HHVA will soon have its half birthday. I am grateful for what I have learned so far as a small business owner, but am looking foward to the future.
